Our role

We are very fortunate at our school to have a Parents, Teachers & Friends Association that is, and has been, such an integral part of the school community for many years. All parents and members of the school community are automatically members of the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association when their children join our school.

The PTFA exists to provide closer links between home and school, and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school and working towards a common goal.  With the continued support of parents and staff, our PTFA has always succeeded in its efforts.

The PTFA is very conscious of the diversity of our school, and tries very hard to respect this when organising and planning events.  Not all of the events are run as fundraisers. Our children’s discos, for example, have the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support of the PTFA.

In its time the PTFA has raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on a stage with lighting and sound equipment for the school hall, the playground mural, the school minibus and golden time games and toys.

We also fund raise for different year groups for items they might require, such as Year 6 so that they can be presented with hoodies as a leaving present from the school.

Photos from the Disco – many thanks to the PTFA for all their hard work; it certainly paid off!
